Urgent appointments will be seen on the day of request. There are a number of appointments available every morning. These appointment slots are released every day at 8.00am.
Routine appointments can be booked up to four weeks in advance.
Nursing appointments can be booked up to 4 weeks in advance.
When making your appointment you may find that the receptionist will ask you for a brief reason for your appointment. This is so that your appointment is booked appropriately. Some conditions or problems need longer than others and some conditions or problems are dealt with by specific clinicians. This is particularly important when making an appointment to see the Practice Nurse and Healthcare Assistant. You can give personal as your appointment reason but please bear in mind that we ask for a reason to help you get the best care from your clinician. All staff are bound by the confidentiality act, including receptionists.
Doctors and Nurses are available for telephone advice at the end of their morning and evening surgery.
Please be prepared to call back if the Doctor or Nurse is unavailable.
The GP can typically see four patients in the practice in the time it takes to do a single home visit. For this reason, we ask our patients to come to the Practice if at all possible.
Emergencies will be dealt with as soon as possible.
Please ensure that requests are made before 10.00am
Please give the receptionist as much detail as possible
Whatever the day or time, if you or someone else experiences chest pain, loss of blood or suspected broken bones, go to your nearest accident and emergency department or call 999.
Also for urgent medical enquiries you can now ring 111.
The facility for patients to book certain appointments online is now available. Please bring photographic ID into the surgery to register for this service.

Patient Information Leaflet regarding Appointments
Cliff House Medical Practice is pleased to be able to offer our patients access to routine appointments at evenings and weekends.
The new service is part of an extended access service which has been commissioned by NHS Lincolnshire West Clinical Commissioning Group.
The appointments will also be available on bank holidays and across the Easter, Christmas and New Year periods.
Extended hours appointments are for pre-bookable non-urgent appointments. Examples of these include chronic illness, asthma checks and medicines reviews.
The service is being delivered by a federation of GP practices in the area. If a patient wishes to attend an extended hours appointment, they may need to travel to another local GP practice and may not necessarily see their own GP.
In our locality, appointments are available between 6.30pm and 8pm Monday to Friday and on Saturday and Sunday mornings. There are also a number of additional appointments being made available during core hours (8.00am to 6.30pm Monday – Friday)
To arrange an appointment or for more information on when and where appointments are available, speak to the practice receptionist or member of the practice team or call the practice on 01522 872872/01522 872878
